Contents
Unfamiliar with the different RV classes, what they mean, and what pros/cons are associated with each? You’ve come to the right place.
Today we’re talking about Class B RVs and everything you need to know about them before purchasing your first one.
But before we discuss the pros and cons, let’s first answer the question, what is a Class B RV?
What is a Class B RV?
A Class B motorhome is a van that’s been converted into an RV. It’s the smallest class of motorhome but lacks nothing by way of necessity.
Class B motorhomes have skyrocketed in popularity due to being conveniently-sized, more affordable, and easier to drive than larger RVs. With the growing trends of van life and downsizing, it’s no wonder that Class B motorhomes have increased in popularity to the extent that they have.
What is a Class B Plus RV?
The main difference between regular Class B RVs and Class B Plus RVs is chassis size. Regular Class B motorhomes are converted vans (also called camper vans) and are smaller than Class B Plus RVs. Class B Plus RVs are built on a larger chassis and are not technically even vans as regular Class B RVs are.
Due to the bigger chassis and often larger interior, Class B Plus RVs generally have more sleeping space and amenities than regular Class B RVs.
